“The ice sculpting event was wonderful. The team loved being able to be creative and working with others to solve a completely unexpected problem. The facilitator did a very nice job of set up and explaining how to use the tools. It was a big success. I have recommended your services to another group at CNA. Also I LOVED working with your team to arrange the event. I could not have asked for a better experience!”

Primary Benefit: Morale-boosting fun!
- Healthy competition
The Event: Let’s get this out of the way right up front: no, we do’t do ice sculpting with chain saws. teambonding is known for stretching the boundaries of fun, but even we have our limits.
What you do get is an interesting, out-of-the-ordinary teambuilding experience that serves as a great icebreaker. Seriously, this is a cool thing most people have never done before, and everybody tends to really enjoy it.
So how does it work? Participants to split up into teams, their ultimate goal being to sculpt a big block of ice into a masterpiece, demonstrating just how powerful frozen water (and teamwork) can be. Divide your people by departments, or let your teambonding facilitators choose teams at random.
Once teams are assembled, everybody gets to watch an impressive demonstration by a genuine Mater Ice Sculptor. Your group will learn all about the tools and techniques required. Teams then get right to work. Each group is charged with the task of planning, designing, building, displaying and lighting their very own ice sculpture.
The results are fun, funny, and sometimes pretty impressive. As with all of our events, you get the famous teambonding touch – our facilitators are very good at engaging hearts and minds, and laughter is one of our secret weapons. For an additional fee, you can even have the Master Sculptor carve special sculptures like your company logo, a bust of the CEO, or whatever.
Teams are judged on the following criteria:
- Overall Design
- Proper Planning
- Team work
- Cleanliness and Organization
- Degree of Difficulty
Minimum/Maximum group size: Ice Sculpting works best with groups from 10 – 100
Program Length: Approximately 2 – 3 hours
Space Requirements: This event is surprisingly flexible and portable. Believe it or not, we can actually stage this one indoors or out, year-round. Just provide a space large enough to comfortably accommodate your group, and we do the rest.
